The 2009 Club Cal Neva’s College and Pro Football point spread football handicapping contest, begins August 2009 and will feature $500,000 in cash & prizes.
Contestants can enter beginning August 1, 2009 at all Club Cal Neva Sportsbook locations. Patrons pay a one-time entry fee which entitles them to play every week during the NFL and College seasons. Entry fee for the NFL "Pro Pick-em" contest is $25 for the entire 17 week season, $20 for the "College Pick-em" 10 week season or $40 to play in both! Contestants can sign up all season long but those who purchase an entry before the first game will receive a FREE $5 parlay card! For the one-time fee, each week, contestants pick their favorite teams to win or lose with no point spreads, the patrons with the most winners or losers cash-in!

True handicappers will test thier skills in the $162,500 "Gridiron Gold"; entrants pick 5 NFL teams against the spread weekly starting. The non-refundable entry fee is $250, with all entry fees returned as prize money ($162,500 based on 650 entries). Contestants pick 5 NFL teams weekly against the spread. The contestant with the most winning selections at the end of the regular season wins! Prize structure:
- 1st Place 50% of prize money
- 2nd Place 20% of prize money
- 3rd Place 15% of prize money
- 4th Place 10% of prize money
- 5th Place 5% of prize money 6th thru 20th will receive FREE entry $250 into Gridiron Gold contest for the 2010-2011 season.
